Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease and progresses in episodes. This disease is characterized by sharply defined, reddened and slightly raised spots, which are covered by silvery-white scales.

Symptoms

  • Severe itching, burning

  • Redness

  • Flaking

The combination of acupuncture and herbal medicine/phytotherapy can be used at different stages of the disease.

Appearance: the rash appears and develops rapidly, with local redness. New rashes appear continuously. Red patches cover the area with scales. Affected patients experience severe itching, dry mouth and tongue. A sore throat or congestion also occurs. Patients also have a tense or rapid pulse.

Stable stage: the base of the scales is dark red, the scales are thick or even oyster shell-shaped and itchy. The tongue is dark red or shows petechiae, the coating is thin and white. The pulse is astringent and deep.

Relapsing disease with a long course: no new rash appears. The rashes become bright red, coin-shaped, or have merged into spots. The tongue is red with little coating. The pulse is deep and thin.
