Pain

Carpal tunnel syndrome

Carpal tunnel syndrome is more common in women than in men and is characterised by numbness, pain and weakness of the fingers due to compression of the nerves in the carpal tunnel. Swelling and adhesions of the metacarpal nerve and tendons occur as a result of bone lesions, thickening of the ligaments and other injuries, leading to a relative reduction in the volume of the carpal tunnel.

Symptoms

  • Pain, numbness in the fingers

  • Weakness and restricted movement

Acupuncture can release the adhesions and relieve the tension and contraction of the tendons and muscles. Combining it with moxibustion can improve the penetration of the needle into the wrist. Together with various massage methods, the function of the wrist can be restored, providing a good therapeutic effect.
