The discovery of some new effective acupuncture points has led to a significant increase in effectiveness, allowing acupuncture to be used as one of the main therapies for this disease. In controlled studies it was found that the effect of acupuncture treatment is significantly better than the combined treatment with hormones, antibiotics, vasodilators and adenosine disodium. Acupuncture can positively regulate the patient's plasma concentration of sex hormones, which is helpful in restoring the patient's vision.
